Tom qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1999 and then spent sixteen years in private equity, investing in the natural resources, retail, real estate and technology sectors. Tom co-founded Barclays Natural Resource Investments in 2006, acting as a member of BNRI’s investment committee and a non-executive director on the boards of five of BNRI’s portfolio companies.

Since 2016 he has held senior roles in a range of natural resources companies, including a non-executive directorship with one of the world’s largest privately-owned mining and fertiliser groups. He is currently CFO of a UK-based gas exploration business. Tom has a first class degree in Mathematics from St John’s College, Cambridge.
