Rohan Clarke - Pupil Barrister
Before commencing pupillage, Rohan read for his PhD at Jesus College Cambridge as a Commonwealth Scholar. He specialised in anti-money laundering regulation and offshore finance. He is the author of Illicit Finance and the Law in the Commonwealth Caribbean, which was published in 2022 by Routledge.
He earned the LLM in Legal Practice (Bar) (with distinction) at BPP Law School, on the prestigious Lord Denning Scholarship from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Political Science (1st); a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), and a Master of International Law & Politics (1st).
Rohan is a member of the organising Secretariat of the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime, a Fellow at the Society of Advanced Legal Studies (SALS), University of London, and a Global Justice Fellow at Yale University, USA.
Prior to the Bar, Rohan was a Jamaican diplomat. He served at the Embassy of Jamaica and Mission to the European Union in Brussels, and was also accredited to Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.
