Haben Fecadu - US Attorney - Africa International Arbitration Team
Haben Fecadu is an attorney with extensive justice experience in East Africa. She currently represents ABA ROLI as the Deputy Chief of Party and Senior Legal Advisor for USAID’s Expanding Access to Justice Program in Somalia. Haben received her Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. After receiving her JD from Columbia Law School, Haben was a Global Litigation fellow at the Open Society Justice Initiative where she assisted with legal research and filings at international tribunals around the world. She subsequently served as a contract attorney for the Department of Justice’s Civil Division and International Center for Transitional Justice, before joining Amnesty International’s International Secretariat, where she led the organization’s advocacy on the Horn of Africa. Haben is licensed to practice in New York and has working knowledge of French and Tigrinya, in addition to basic knowledge of Arabic.
