CANDEY secure settlement in LLP dispute with leading European alternative investment firm

CANDEY are pleased to have acted for an experienced investment banker and offshore trustees in complex hard-fought litigation against a leading European alternative investment firm. The individual was a partner and Co-CIO in the firm. They were purportedly removed from the firm, and their shareholdings reduced to zero, following disagreement and allegations on both sides. The case settled on day four of a three week trial. The confidential settlement terms are ‘full and final’ in their nature and include a compromise of LCIA claims asserted by all parties together with a release from obligations under a guarantee. The CANDEY team was led by partners Andrew Dunn and Caitriona McCarthy with solicitor Yana Chekavska and trainee solicitor Cettrin Divonin.
