Elena Casale - Paralegal

Elena graduated from the University of Oxford with a first-class degree in English Literature and the L.H. Martin prize for academic excellence. She went on to complete the GDL LLM at BPP, where she achieved a Distinction, placing 4th in her cohort. Elena was awarded the full fee Future Leader Scholarship for her Master’s, which is awarded to an individual “showcasing outstanding leadership skills or innovation ability, with the drive and ambition to become a future leader within the legal profession”. 

After her law conversion, Elena completed the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy. She was awarded the Lord Mansfield Scholarship, the top bar course scholarship awarded by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.

Elena is particularly interested in emerging technologies and the law. She worked for a Westminster civil society organisation on data protection and civil liberties issues, and then taught on a Master’s course on Internet Technologies and Regulation at the University of Oxford. Elena has published on the subject in the LSE Law Review and as part of a research group for Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center.
