
Yahia joined CANDEY after training and practising as a solicitor at Linklaters. Prior to that he studied Law at the University of Cambridge. His practice focuses on cross-border international arbitration and commercial litigation and he has particular expertise in the commodities, technology and banking sectors. He has acted for a range of multinational corporations and financial institutions in arbitration proceedings under the LCIA Rules and before the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Yahia studied Law at the University of Cambridge, and holds an LLM (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics specialising in international arbitration. At LSE, Yahia achieved the highest mark in the year for three subjects, including Advanced Arbitration, and was awarded the Valentin Ribet Prize for academic performance. He also won the ELSA-IAS Arbitration Moot and was a Research Assistant to Dr Jan Kleinheisterkamp considering matters of arbitral appeal.
